SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse teenager is accused of stabbing a man to death.
Syracuse police say 17-year-old Shaquel Williams got into a fight with 20-year-old Kyheem Pringle around 8:15 p.m. Sunday along the 400 block of West Colvin Street.
Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler says Williams got into an argument with two men, when he made a disparaging comment about Pringle's deceased mother.
Police say Pringle arrived and got into a fight with Williams, then stabbed him in the chest.
Police say Williams took off and was later found a the Midland Discount Market, where employees noticed he was carrying a knife and there was evidence of blood on him.
Pringle was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m. at the hospital.
Williams is charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
