TOWN OF WESTMORELAND -- Three men are accused of firing rifles behind a man's home, causing damage.
Police say a homeowner heard a strange noise outside his home at 6943 West Carter Road in the Town of Westmoreland around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
He then noticed a broken window, and what appeared to be, a bullet projectile in the floor of his porch.
Police later realized several other gun shots were being fired from outside the home.
Police later arrested three men on reckless endangerment charges. Police say they admitted to firing rifles at a target behind the home. The shooting occurred 6/10 of a mile from where the projectile was found, and there was nothing between the two properties except for a wooded area.
32-year-old Richard Horner, of Rome, 55-year-old Randoph Ferdinand, of Rome and 48-year-old Karl Ferdinand, of Ohio, were issued appearance tickets. They are due back in the Town of Westmoreland Court on July 6th.
