ITHACA -- An Ithaca couple is behind bars this morning after being caught with nearly $16,000 worth of heroin on Thursday.
Ithaca police say Daniel and Lorraine Pierce were in possession of 638 wax paper envelopes filled with heroin at both an apartment on East Buffalo Street in the city and a storage facility on Route 366 in the nearby Town of Dryden. Police also seized $2980 in cash and a vehicle.
Both face charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and have been remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of 10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
The investigation continues.
