SYRACUSE -- The entrance to the security checkpoint at Hancock International Airport is changing.
Starting Sunday, July 3rd, travelers will now get in a line that takes them through signs and information that will explain security procedures. The signs will explain procedures like why shoes have to be taken off and the restrictions for liquids.
"A lot of the questions they have, they can now get the answer to while they are standing in line," said Commissioner of Aviation Christina Reale.
Reale says it's a "proactive" measure and something other airports around the country do.
Officials will spend the next several days fine-tuning the new queuing system.
