CICERO -- Drivers heading on Interstate 81 north of the city of Syracuse should expect delays.
A paving project on I-81 between Mattydale and Cicero is creating heavy traffic delays in the Cicero area. That's the word today from the State Department of Transportation.
Due to the traffic volumes, State Police have closed the entrance ramp from Route 31 to southbound I-81 until the construction restrictions are removed.
That is expected to happen sometime later today.
For now though, you may want to find another route if possible.
