SENECA FALLS -- A Lyons man is accused of punching and choking a woman.

Seneca Falls police say 22-year-old Rondell Brantley, of 27 Elmer Street, went into an apartment on Clinton Street, grabbed a 21-year-old woman by the neck and started choking her. He's also accused of punching the woman and pushing a 26-year-old woman.

When the women were able to finally get him out, police say Brantley then started punching the door to the apartment, causing damage.

Police say they later found him hiding in a yard a block away.

Brantley is charged with burglary, criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief and harassment. He was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He's due back in court for a felony hearing on July 12th.
