SYRACUSE -- An Onondaga County man faces a decade in prison after admitting he broke into a home in Radisson earlier this year.
Wednesday morning, 50-year-old Thomas Dyer of Radisson appeared in Onondaga County Court to plead guilty plea to a single count of second degree burglary.
In January, Dyer was arrested on charges of attempted rape, burglary, unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest. Police investigators had accused him of breaking into a Braewood Drive home, where the female resident allegedly woke up to find him standing over her in bed. The victim reportedly struggled with Dyer and was able to flee from her home before calling police.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Judge Joseph Fahey agreed to sentence Dyer to ten years in prison when he returns to court for sentencing on August 3rd.
