BLOSSVALE, ONEIDA CO. -- A Blossvale man is accused of injuring a 2-year-old girl.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 30-year-old Shaun LaNoce, of Rt. 13, is charged with felony assault.

Investigators say the little girl was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with internal injuries and was rushed into emergency surgery. She remains in critical condition.

Authorities say she was in LaNoce's care on Sunday.

LaNoce was arraigned in the Village of Oriskany Court and was ordered held with bail set at $30,000.

Sheriff's deputies were assisted in the investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center and New York State Child Protective Services.
