Syracuse Police search for suspect in early morning stabbing

Syracuse Police are searching for the suspect in an early morning stabbing on Hawley Avenue.

Police say they responded at approximately 1 A.M. to a possible stabbing call on the 700 block of Hawley Ave. Police say when they arrived at the scene they found a 21 year-old male with a stab wound to the torso. Authorities say the man was stabbed during an altercation.

The man was transported to Upstate Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect is a white male in his teens who fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
