Show is in its 33rd year
Skaneateles is getting set for the Antique and Classic Boat Show, which will run Friday to Sunday (July 29 - 31) this year.
Jack Griffin, who owns an Adirondack-style classic boat, says the best part for him is to trailer in and watch people just stop and look as he passes.
The boats will be on the north end of Skaneateles Lake, at Clift Park, but there are also village tours, a live concert, and activities for children (they can 'custom paint' wooden boats created for them. Griffin says the highlight is Saturday afternoon, when the boats pass in parade, and since Skaneateles Lake is so deep, the boats come very close to shore.
