UTICA (AP) -- Police say a woman and her baby have been injured by a car that veered onto a sidewalk in Utica.

Officers tell the Observer-Dispatch of Utica that the woman driving the car had a medical issue just before her vehicle struck a mother and her baby, who was in a stroller, around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The mother and child were transported to a local hospital. Police say the woman suffered a concussion, and the baby suffered bruises.

The driver of the vehicle collapsed while talking with officials at the scene. She was transported to a hospital. No information on her condition was available.
