GEDDES -- Three people are facing charges for trying to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a McDonald's restaurant in Geddes, according to Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies.

Aleksandr N. Chubenko, 18, Diana Danileca, 20, and Dimitrijs Danilecs, 21, are each facing one count of forgery and two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Just before 1:00am Friday, Chubenko, Danileca and Danilecs pulled into the McDonald's Drive-thru at 3329 West Genesee Street, ordered food and then paid for it with $100 bill, according to deputies.

The clerk thought the bill looked suspicious, and contacted restaurant management. A nearby sheriff saw the suspects vehicle leave and quickly stopped the car at the neighboring Wegman's parking lot.

The trio of suspects were also identified for a similar incident on Thursday at the Wegman's store located at 4722 Onondaga Boulevard.

Investigators recovered a color copier and other materials believed to have been used to manufacture the bogus bills.

Chunenko, Danileca and Danilecs were arraigned in the Town of Geddes Court on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

All three are scheduled to return to court on Aug 8, 2011.
