New scenic map/guide to 14 Finger Lakes counties
SYRACUSE -- The Finger Lakes Museum is out with a cultural, natural heritage and scenic map and guide to the 14 Finger Lakes counties.
George Farenthold, with the Finger Lakes Museum, says the brochure is designed to provide an overview of what families can do with their vacation time. It's designed for tourists from out of the area, but also for local families who are looking for day trips. It's available at www.fingerlakesmuseum.org
The Museum has now bought a former elementary school in Yates County to use as offices, and plans and fundraising are underway to build a permanent museum on Keuka Lake.
