Interstate 81 southbound will continue to be restricted to one lane for another week as the state department of transportation makes some emergency bridge repairs. 81 south is reduced to one lane from Butternut Street in Syracuse to the Harrison Street exit.

LONG TERM SPECIAL EVENT IN ONONDAGA COUNTY
Parkway Sundays (Exclusive Access for Pedestrians and Bicyclists)
9 am to 12 Noon Sunday Mornings, from now through Sunday, August 28.
Route 370 Eastbound and Westbound: “Onondaga Lake Parkway” section closed to all motorized traffic.
Details for Detour: Utilize Old Liverpool Road for both directions of travel.
SHORT TERM PROJECTS: ONONDAGA COUNTY
Bridge Repair
Now through 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 8 continuous (24 hours a day).
I-81 Southbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, left lane closed from Butternut Street to Exit 18 (Adams Street). Access from I-690 eastbound will be maintained but delays are anticipated on this ramp during peak volume times.
Bridge Repair
Monday, August 1 at 9 a.m. to Wednesday, August 3 continuous (24 hours a day).
I-690 Westbound: Left lane closed Monday, transitioning to left and center lanes closed on Tuesday, from Teall Avenue to Townsend Street.
Paving Operations
Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Route 20, both directions: Alternating one way traffic, directed by flaggers, in the Village of Skaneateles between Routes 41 and 321.
Rumble Strip Installation
Monday, August 1, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Northbound); 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Southbound).
I-81 Northbound and Southbound: Right and/or left lanes closed between Route 11 in Mattydale to Route 31 in Cicero.
Safety Installation
Thursday, August 4 and Friday, August 5, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ramp from Park Street to Route 370 Westbound: Ramp will be closed with a detour provided.
Pipe Line Installation
Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Route 695 Southbound: From I-690 to Gerelock Road: Left lane closed.

Milling and Paving Operations
Now through August 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Bridge Street Northbound and Southbound: Reduced to one lane between Erie Blvd and Enterprise Parkway.
LONG TERM CONTINUOUS PROJECTS: OSWEGO COUNTY
Bridge Repair
Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through approximately August 31, 2011.
I-81 Southbound: Reduced to one lane of travel, left and center lanes closed,
approaching and crossing over the Barge Canal/ Oneida Lake Outlet Bridge in
Brewerton.
Bridge Repair
Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through approximately September 30, 2011.
I-81 Northbound Mainline: Left and center lanes closed approaching and crossing under the Bartell Road Bridge at Exit 31 (Brewerton) and over the Barge Canal/Oneida Lake Outlet Bridge in Brewerton. Access to and from Exit 31 (Bartell Road-Brewerton) will be maintained.
