SYRACUSE -- If you've ever wanted to see the inside of the Carousel Mall expansion, now is your chance to get a sneak peak.
Destiny USA will offer public tours of the 850,000 square foot expansion project beginning today.
In a news release issued to CNYCentral, developers say the tours are "part of a renewed effort to keep the public informed of the construction progress."
"We all know the challenges Upstate New York has faced during the past several years," said Robert Congel, founder of Destiny USA. "...I truly believe that by working together, and being creative, everyone succeeds. I have lived in this community my entire life and I am as committed as ever to the success of this project and the success of the entire region. We are making great progress on the expansion despite the lagging economy, providing needed opportunities for construction workers and many local businesses, while attracting world-class shopping, dining and entertainment brands to the project."
Destiny executives will offer public tours of the expansion on August 5th, August 12th and August 19th. There will be two tours each day, one at noon and the other at 6 p.m. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
Because this is an active construction site, visitors are asked to wear closed-toe shoes.
