SYRACUSE -- Verizon workers are preparing for a strike.
On Thursday from 11am until 1pm, the union will be staging informational pickets downtown along State Street in Syracuse, and at their Dewitt offices along Thompson Road.
An informational picket will also happen in Ithaca at noon.
The current contract between Verizon and the east coast union representing 45,000 workers expires at midnight Saturday.
Both sides have been in last minute talks.
The union represents people who install and repair telephone lines, customer service and tech support.
If the strike happens this weekend, do you think it will disrupt services offered by Verizon?
