SYRACUSE -- How well do you think Andrew Cuomo is doing as New York's Governor?
A new poll by conducted by pollster Lee Miringoff asked some New Yorkers that same question and found Cuomo is losing some of his strong support among Republicans, while gaining Democratic and independent support.
Overall, the NY1/YNN/Marist College Poll shows Cuomo has a still very high favorability rating of 67%, down 5 points from May.
Miringoff says says such a partisan divide even for the popular governor after six months in office is common.
Cuomo's job performance rating rose two percentage points from 54% to 56%.
The poll questioned 600 adults July 28-31. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points.
