The 'Old Guard,' which performs at White House ceremonies, is coming to Camden for a national Fife & Drum muster
Camden, which has the oldest continuous Fife and Drum Corps in the state (since 1850) is hosting a national muster next Friday and Saturday.
Joe Cellini, a drum instructor who's part of the Camden group, says over 20 Corps are coming, including the 'Old Guard,' which does ceremonies for the White House. The plan is for a concert Friday evening (August 12th) at 7:30pm, next to Camden's VFW, with a jam session to follow, til about 11pm. Saturday at noon they'll do a parade down Camden's Main Street, followed by another 'concert' by the VFW.
It's all free and open to the public---bring your lawn chairs, and they'll even have food and drink for you!
