LIVERPOOL -- A busy road is back open after a deadly crash Monday morning.

Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies say a Phoenix motorcyclist was killed when he was hit by a car on County Route 57. The crash happened shortly after 9:00, just north of John Glenn Boulevard near Laurel Lane.

Dale Osborn, 50, was heading north on his bike when a car turned out of the AmeriCu Credit Union parking lot and hit him. Osborn was thrown several feet off his bike. Deputies say 77-year-old Martin Donnelly of Liverpool was driving the car.

Route 57 had to be closed for about an hour and a half.

The investigation into what happened is still ongoing. Deputies say tickets are expected to be issued.
