UTICA -- A Utica mother is accused of leaving her infant walking around the street alone without clothes.

Utica police say they found a 1-year-old child walking around Third Avenue and Lansing Street wearing only a diaper.

After interviewing some neighbors, the officer was directed to the second floor of a home, where he found the child's mother. Police say the child was outside for a half hour unattended.

The mother, 23-year-old Amanda Schorer, of Lansing Street, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
