SENECA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) -- A naturalization ceremony is being held at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls to welcome 23 new citizens from 13 countries.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will present the 23 candidates for citizenship to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York Friday morning. U.S. District Court Judge Marian Payson will administer the Oath of Allegiance to America's newest citizens.
The 23 citizenship candidates are from Afghanistan, Cameroon, Canada, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Somalia, Syria, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
