Syracuse Police now say a shooting on South Geddes Street early Saturday morning is a homicide...they say a 32 year old man, shot about 2:30 this morning at the Geddes Express, between Seymour and Shonnard Streets across from Fowler High School, has died from his injuries. Angel Olmo, from Richmond Avenue, was shot several times while in the parking lot.  He died at University Hospital.  Police say Olmo was from downstate and had no local arrest  record, and only 'minor offenses' elsewhere.  They're looking for information on where he might have been before the shooting, and for help from anyone who might have seen the shooting.

Police are also investigating what they call a second serious injury shooting, at 4:30 this morning, with a woman shot in the face on the city south side.  28 year old Angela Tippitt was standing outside her vehicle on Coolidge  Avenue, just south of  Bellevue avenue (between Sterling and Cheney Streets) when shots were fired from a white Lincoln with a blue rag top.  She's being treated at University Hospital and is expected to survive.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to call, 442-5222.
