BRIDGEPORT -- A Bridgeport man is under arrest after police say he threatened to attack a local hotel.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office tells CNY Central that around 2:00 a.m. Friday 911 dispatchers received a call about a dispute at the Union Hotel on State Route 31. Police say 36-year-old Christopher Gall threatened to return to the hotel with a firearm and inflict serious injury to people there, but after interviewing hotel staff and customers deputies say Gall made the dispute up.
Gall was arrested at his home Friday morning and charged with felony making a terroristic threat and misdemeanor falsely reporting an incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Lenox Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Sullivan Court on September 1.
