SYRACUSE -- Police in Syracuse are searching for a suspect after a delivery man was attacked and robbed earlier this week.
According to Syracuse Police, around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday a 35-year-old male delivery driver for Coca-Cola was outside of the C More Market on the 600 block of South Geddes Street when he was jumped by three men. The suspects allegedly pistol-whipped the victim in the parking lot of the market, and stole cash and checks.
Does a story like this concern you because it happened in the middle of the day? Or does the time of day not make a difference?
The primary suspect is described as an approximately 40-year-old black male with a thin build, mustache, and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a navy blue shirt and purple bandana ‘do rag’, and was carrying a silver revolver pistol. Police say two younger males were with him, but no specific details about them were given.
Police say the three suspects were last seen running away from the crime scene, headed west toward Seymour Street.
The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He has been released. He is not being identified at this time.
