The Oswego County Health Department is scheduled to conduct aerial spraying for mosquitoes Friday at 6 PM. It has been postponed several times this week because of weather concerns.
Friday, the county is focusing on the remainder of the central oswego county area, then moving to Albion and Parish.
The spraying is an attempt to stop the spread of eastern equine encephalitis, a dangerous mosquito-borne illness. It comes after 4-year-old Maggie Sue Wilcox died from the disease. A horse and dog were also killed after contracting EEE.
During spraying, you should stay indoors and close your doors and windows. Also bring in lawn furniture or children's toys that are outside.
