Christmas Tree growers show off lots of choices
New York's Christmas Tree Growers have a small tree farm on display at the State Fair, across from the State Police exhibit near the Horticulture Building, and if you're confused about the types of evergreens that are sold as Christmas trees, they'll answer all your questions.
Frank and Rosie Alexander, owners of Alexander's Tree Farm, and their granddaughter Noelle joined us at noon to talk about this New York farm product (theirs are grown in Dansville, south of Rochester), and also about Trees for Troops, which lets you donate to get a bit of Christmas cheer to active duty soldiers and military families--you can get involved at the fair booth or on the program website
