WAMPSVILLE, MADISON CO. -- A Madison County man will spend the rest of the year in jail after admitting he sexually abused a child earlier this year.

Back in January, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies announced the arrest of 47-year-old Robert L. Eaton of Pine Woods Trailer Park in Bouckville and accused him of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in 2002 and 2003 in the Town of Eaton.

Eaton pleaded guilty to felony first degree sex abuse, and was sentenced to six months in jail, followed by ten years of probation. He will also have to register as a sex offender and pay $420 in fees.

The Madison County District Attorneys Office also says a restraining order will be issued against Eaton.
