GEDDES -- Thousands of Bruno Mars fans got quite a show Wednesday night at the State Fair.
The pop star took the stage at 8 p.m. at the Chevy Court and was greeted by many screaming girls.
Mars sang many of the crowd's favorites, including "The Lazy Song." Fans were surprised to hear he was coming to the State Fair for a free show.
Fans grabbed seats hours before Mars took the stage. Fair officials expected at least 30,000 people would pack the Chevy Court, and they beefed up security to make sure crowds did not get out of control.
An improved sound system was also installed for the concert.
