Piglets among the most popular of livestock exhibits
GEDDES -- Seeing the piglets on display is one of the highlights for lots of fairgoers, and we had three exhibitors from Sherburne on our noon news from the fair, showing off one of their piglets.
He was not the 'ideal guest'---before the cameras came on, we put the little one on the ground to calm him down, and he rooted through the mulch in our neighboring garden border, looking for eats. The children pulled blades of grass, but he wanted to look on his own, and when we picked him up for his cameo, he squealed (he wanted momma and a meal!)...and he also nipped one of our exhibitors (no major injury)---
Even so, we got a good look at how cute piglets can be...before they chow down to 250lbs+.
