CORTLAND -- A Cortland County man is accused of raping and assaulting a female toddler last weekend.
Cortland Police say 20-year-old Dustin A. "Dusty" Wing of Charles Street in Cortland raped a two-year-old girl and punched her in the stomach several times last Sunday afternoon. He was arrested Monday morning.
The girl was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where she was treated for internal trauma and released.
Wing is charged with felony rape, assault, predatory assault against a child, criminal sex act, aggravated sexual abuse, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Cortland City Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Cortland City Court on an unspecified later date.
