Costumes welcome at Oncenter event
J V Johnson is hoping hordes of zombies, and trekkers and more fans will descend on Syracuse's Oncenter next weekend. Johnson is the producer for the Scare-a-Cuse convention, Syracuse's first-ever horror, sci-fi and paranormal convention.
It will include Syracuse's 'grade b' film festival, old horror films, and a roundtable on Channel 3's old 'Monster Movie Matinee'.
Celebrity guests include Walter Koenig (Chekov from Star Trek) and Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley from some of the Twilight movies). Scare-a-Cuse runs September 9 to 11. Johnson hopes fans will get into the spirit of it all and come in costumes from the shows they really like.
