GEDDES -- Hundreds of union workers marched through the NYS Fairgrounds on Monday in a show of solidarity on Labor Day.
The workers lined up at Gate 4 and marched to Chevy Court, where they held a rally.
Among the people marching were Verizon union workers, who recently went back to work after going on strike.
There were also cemetery workers at the rally whose jobs are at stake. At the rally, workers gave special recognition to those six cemetery workers.
"I feel proud of all the support that we're getting with the situation we're going through," says Matthew Kompf, who is one of the cemetery workers. "It's a little upsetting we have to do this."
Organizers say it's a tough time in history for union workers, but they hope Monday's parade will give them a sense of pride in the work they do.
