WATERTOWN -- A Watertown woman is accused of burning her 5-year-old child with a cigarette.
State Police say 27-year-old Jessica Downs, of 723 Nellis Street, intentionally burned her 5-year-old child on the foot with a cigarette sometime during the week of July 11th through the 15th.
Downs is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was arraigned in the Town of Brownville Court and released on her own recognizance. She's scheduled to appear in the City of Watertown Court at a later date.
