"I was concerned," said Jason Dickinson who lives in Dryden.  "I knew he would be hiding out somewhere since he was on foot."

Caitlin Londa recieved a text message on her phone from Tompkins Cortland Community College, where she is a student, alerting her that there was a suspect on the run in her neighborhood.   "Letting us know that they were looking for somebody and lock all our doors, and cars.  I started to realize that this guy was dangerous," she said.

Marcum was wanted in relation to a burglary.  He remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.
