FORT DRUM (AP) -- More than 400 members of Army National Guard aviation units from New York and two New England states are training at Fort Drum for possible deployment overseas next year.

New York National Guard officials say soldiers from the Long Island-based 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Assault Helicopter Battalion have been joined by elements of Company B, 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation from Rochester.

Detachments from the Connecticut and Maine Army National Guard are also participating in the training at the northern New York military post, which is home to the 10th Mountain Division.

The training of soldiers in urban patrols and combat actions is being made available for viewing by the media Tuesday morning.
