VOLNEY, OSWEGO CO. -- A Fulton man is accused of growing nearly three dozen marijuana plants.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 41-year-old Thomas Monty, of Howard Rd. Bldg. 290, was growing approximately 32 marijuana plants at a home in Volney. Deputies say they also found equipment to grow the plants.

Monty is charged with unlawful growing of cannabis and criminal possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned in the Town of Volney Court and was released on his own recognizance.

He's due back in court on September 26.
