Route 370 reopened, charges pending
LYSANDER -- The driver injured in an early morning head on collision with a tractor trailer in Lysander has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.
Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies say 26-year-old Paul Congleton from Ogdensburg went across the center line on Route 370 near Tater Road, and collided with an oncoming tractor trailer. It happened about 1:46 a.m., and deputies say fog and alcohol may be contributing factors. Congleton had to be cut from his Toyota Corolla.
The truck's driver was not badly hurt.
Route 370 is now re-opened after being shut down from Tater Road to the Cayuga County Line for the accident reconstruction. Tickets are pending.
