(AP) -- New York state officials are warning consumers not to drink unpasteurized milk from one Tompkins County farm.
Health and agriculture officials say two people have become ill with a possible bacteria infection known as campylobacter enteritis. Both have recovered.
The milk was produced at Jerry Dell Farm in Freeville and collected on September 22.
State officials say Jerry Dell Farm has voluntarily suspended milk sales and won't be able to resume selling raw milk until sampling shows it's safe.
The bacteria can cause diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, nausea, headache, and muscle pain. Symptoms usually show up two to five days after ingestion and can last for seven to 10 days.
