SCRIBA -- A tentative new four-year contract has been reached between the company that runs the FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant in Scriba and the union representing more than 200 workers. That's according to Entergy, the company the runs the plant.

"Entergy and IBEW Local 97 are pleased with the positive outcome of this long and challenging negotiation process," said FitzPatrick Site Vice President Kevin Bronson and IBEW Local 97 Business Manager Ted Skerpon. "This contract represents fair and equitable terms both for the employees and company. The company and union appreciate the hard work and extra effort by both sides."

Negotiations concluded on Friday. Union members still have to ratify the contract. A vote will happen next week.
