Accused drunk driver hits cop car in Martville

MARTVILLE, OSWEGO COUNTY -- A Martville, NY driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he drove his truck into a police car.

According to the Oswego County Sherriff’s Department, Richard W. Jamerson, 54, of 540 Martville Rd., struck the side of the officer’s car while the officer was pulling over to the side of Martville Road.

The accident appeared to be caused by Jamerson’s improper turning and failure to yield the right of way. Mr. Jamerson was arraigned in the Town of Hannibal Court.

He is scheduled to return to court on November 1.
