Motocycle crash in Fayetteville

MANLIUS, ONONDAGA -- The Town of Manlius Police Department continues to investigate the car/motorcycle crash that occured Monday morning in Manlius.
Preliminary investigation has a 2008 Hyundai, operated by Annette Potter of Fayetteville, attempting to enter East Genesee Street from Washington Blvd., while a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle, operated by Jonathan Cooper of Chalfont, Pa., was traveling westbound on East Genesee Street.
While the Hyundai was entering East Genesee Street, the motorcycle impacted the the car's fron end causing Cooper to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Village of Fayetteville emergency medical personnel treated and transported Cooper to University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Manlius police are still investigating the accident and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call them at 315-682-2212.
A car and motorcycle crashed Monday morning at about 9:40. The crash caused serious injuries to the motorcyclist.The two vehicles crashed in the 700 block of Route 5 at Washington Boulevard in Manlius between Lyndon Corners and the Fayetteville Towne Center.
According to the Town of Manlius Police Department, the crash is no longer blocking traffic in the Town of Manlius.
Manlius police say that a 2008 Hyundai, driven by a 47 year old female of Faytetteville, hit a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle operated by a 33 year old male of Chalfont, PA, as she attemtoed to enter Route 5 frim Washington Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was treated by emergency personnel from the Village of Fayetteville and transported to a local hospital as a result of his injuries.
Police are encouraging drivers to use Highbridge Road (Route 92) to Mott Road to East Genessee Street (Route 5) as a detour.
Manlius police are investigating the accident and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call them at 315-682-2212.
