SCRIBA, OSWEGO COUNTY -- For the second time in three months, a Novelis employee has been injured at its Scriba plant just outside the city of Oswego.
The Oswego County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene around 6 o'clock Tuesday evening. A 46-year-old man from Hannibal was taken to University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment.
A spokesman from Novelis says the accident happened at the production area of the plant. The company is also trying to determine the cause of the accident.
Novelis released a statement about the incident saying, "We are very concerned about the well being of the employee and are in contact with the family and the hospital. However, out of respect for the employee’s privacy, we are not going to release other details at this time."
In August there was another incident where a worker was injured in the plant. The Scriba factory specializes in aluminum rolling. Recently the company announced it was expanding the Oswego County plant and bringing 100 new jobs to the area.

A man is recovering after suffering serious injuries in an industrial accident in Oswego County.
It happened Tuesday at the Novelis plant on County Route 1A in the Town of Scriba, according to Oswego County Sheriff's Deputies.
The victim is 46-years-old and is from Hannibal, but investigators are not releasing his name and are not saying what exactly happened.
The man was transported to Oswego Hospital and was later taken to Upstate University Hospital.
Novelis is an aluminum recycling company.
