SCHENECTADY (AP) -- SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - There has been a shooting at the offices of a newspaper in Schenectady.
Details on the incident were not immediately available, but Schenectady Police Sgt. Matthew Dearing says an armed man was shot by officers who had responded to an incident at the main office of the Daily Gazette.
People who answered the phone at the newspaper refused to answer questions, but the Gazette posted a message on Twitter saying that a man with a knife had been shot by police, and taken away on a stretcher.
The man's condition was not known.
