An Oneida County man is behind bars after leading Sheriff's Deputies on a high speed chase.

Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies say 46 year-old Otto Kristoferson of Brookfield started fleeing authorities on Route 20 in the Town of Sangerfield Saturday night.

Kristoferson was eventually caught in the town of Brookfield off of Vilder Rd. Deputies say he tried to flee in a wooded but a K-9 unit eventually tracked him down.

Kristoferson was charged with Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer, DWI, and multiple other infractions. The sheriff's department says Kristoferson has an active warrant against him from the Corning Police Department for pending DWI charges. He was arraigned in Bridgewater Court and and sent to Oneida County Jail in lieu $5,000 bail.
