Accused Fulton car robber chased down by owner

FULTON, OSWEGO COUNTY -- A Fulton man was arrested for committing a larceny from a vehicle.

Roy T. Durgan, 19, was arrested Wednesday for robbery in the 400 block of Worth Street where he was allegedly robbing a car when confronted by the owner.

Police say that the car owner chased down Durgan when he attempted to flee the scene.

According to police, Durgan and the property owner were involved in a physical altercation and Durgan caused a laceration to the back of the owner’s head.

Police say that Durgan was wanted for an arrest warrant for petit larceny by the Fulton Police at the time of the arrest.

The victim was treated on the scene by Fulton Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.

Durgan was charged with second degree robbery. He was arraigned Fulton City Court and remanded to Oswego County Jail. Bail is set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 secured bail bond.
