BALDWINSVILLE, ONONDAGA COUNTY -- LeVaughn McArthur was sentenced Wednesday to twenty five years in prison for attacking another man with hammer.

Police say McArthur and another man broke into a Baldwinsville home and attacked a 33-year-old victim with a hammer last spring. The victim suffered from a serious skull fracture.

Prosecutors say the victim continues to slowly recover but still lives in fear of the attack.

McArthur was charged with first degree assault, burglary, and attempted robbery.
