SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse has been indicted by an Onondaga County grand jury on charges he raped a woman back in July.

Police say 31-year-old David Carroll, of 120 McLennan Avenue, broke into a 42-year-old woman's home on Syracuse's north side. They say he had a knife when he broke through the first floor window of the woman's home and raped her.

Carroll was indicted on charges of rape, predatory sexual assault, attempted criminal sexual act, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.
