FULTON -- Funeral arrangements have been set for Ridge Barden, the 16-year-old who died after being hurt in a football game Friday night.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Foster Funeral Home in Fulton. It's located at 910 Fay Street. The Funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 am at the Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, located at 64 Gillespie Road in Fulton.

On Sunday, the Cortland County coroner said Barden's death was due to a 'massive subdural hematoma' caused by the helmet to helmet contact at Friday nights Phoenix-Homer game. Coroner Kevin Sharp said there does not appear to be a pre-existing condition, though the investigation continues. The death has been ruled accidental. Barden was a junior at John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix and a lineman for the varsity football team. Counselors will be available again at the school on Monday for students.

Contributions in Barden's memory can be made to the Phoenix Football Boosters. The address is 116 Volney Street, Phoenix, NY 13135.
