SALINA -- A teenager is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.
It happened Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. on South Bay Road in the Town of Salina.
Zachary Rawson, 18, of Mattydale, entered the road from the east shoulder traveling west when he was hit and thrown off the bike, according to State Police.
A 2001 Ford driven by Kent Young, 48, of Syracuse, was traveling northbound at the time of the accident.
Rawson was transported to Upstate University Hospital with multiple skull fractures.
Right now there is no word on if any tickets will be issued. The investigation is ongoing.
