OSWEGO -- Oswego police have identified the man hit by a car on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Police say Christopher LaLonde, an employee of SUNY Oswego, was walking his dog when he was hit by car shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.

It happened near the corner of State Route 104 and Sheldon Avenue.

LaLonde was airlifted to the hospital with suffered several broken bones. He remains in a Syracuse area hospital in stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

So far, police have not issued any tickets. They say poor visibility due to the dark, rainy weather was the major contributing factor to the crash.
